MyInfo - Create/Edit Templates Tool

An efficient method for entering your data into the DI system via MyInfo is by creating a template. A template is a pre-defined set of user input data types that helps to minimize the time needed for inputting tops, etc. into the Drillinginfo system. Templates are created and edited with the Create/Edit Templates Tool. A link to this tool can be found in the MyInfo Home page.

The first step in using this tool is to select an existing template for editing, or to select the “create a new one” hyperlink in order to create a new template.

On the next page you will name your template, fill in your data, and select appropriate categories and units.

The name, category, unit combinations you create can now be used again and again when entering tags into the DI system. A Template might include a name, category unit combination of (Wilcox, Formation Top, Feet) and another of (Wilcox, Formation Bottom, Feet). Later when you wish to enter your values for the formation top and bottom for a well in the Wilcox using the “tag an element” tool on the map page, you can select this template in which the name, category, and unit combinations will already be filled out. You will then merely add the values to each name, category, unit combination or “tag signature” and click the save button.
