Operator

Create an Area of Interest (AOI) that monitors activity based upon the operator of your choosing. Through this method, you can stay informed of a particular operator's activity, keep track of permits, leasing, and completions by a particular operator, and as an operator permits or completes wells, be notified by email and have the information recorded in your AOI.

First, give your AOI a descriptive name in the Description box.

Then, enter a partial name of an operator in the search box. Whatever you type will match the start of the name(s) in the database - for example, Texaco matches Texaco Inc. and Texaco Oil and Gas and anything else that starts with Texaco. The results of the search (up to 50) will appear in the box below.

Select Operators you want to monitor (up to five) and click the Add>> button. The operators will be placed in the Monitored box. To remove operators from the Monitored box, select the operators and click the <<Remove button. See Selecting Multiple Items in a List Box for more information.

Once you select all the operators to monitor, choose the Initial Search Period, Items to Monitor, and Notification (if you want email). Your email address is indicated next to the Notification option. Make sure this is the email address you want information sent to. If you want to have information sent to another email address, click the Change my email link, type in the email address and click the Update button.

Once you have defined your AOI by operator, click the Finish button and your AOI will be saved in Your Areas of Interest table.

Keep in mind, a single corporate entity, like Texaco, may be represented by many operators in the Drillinginfo.com system corresponding to different field offices, divisions, operator filings in different states, etc.  Also keep in mind, a single corporate entity and/or is subsidiaries, divisions, etc. may change (Texaco to Chevron, Texaco for example) which will require you to update your AOI to include the new Operator(s) as tracked by the Drillinginfo.com system.
