Shape File

Create an Area of Interest (AOI) that monitors activity based upon a shape file. Through this method, you can stay informed of activity for a particular area, keep track of permits, leasing, and completions from a particular area, be notified by email and have the information recorded in your AOI.

First, give your AOI a descriptive name in the Description box.

Then, select a shape file for this AOI. Shape files must first be uploaded to the $WEB_ROOT$/temp directory on the web server before they will appear in the list.

Please contact Drillinginfo for instructions for uploading a shape file to the server.

Select the Search Area. Choose a certain mileage around the polygon to monitor.

Once you select the shape file and search area, choose the Initial Search Period, Items to Monitor and Notification (if you want email). Your email address is indicated next to the Notification option. Make sure this is the email address you want information sent to. If you want to have information sent to another email address, click the Change my email link, type in the email address and click the Update button.

Once you have defined your AOI by shape file, click the Finish button and your AOI will be saved in Your Areas of Interest table.
